When it comes to holiday decorating, I'm a total sucker for tradition.  I love a real Christmas tree, the Grinch on TV and the Nutcracker playing on my ipod;  it might be a rut but it's one in which I remain happily entrenched.  When it comes to party style, however, I like the idea of breaking free from the mold and doing something totally unexpected.  This hot orange look from Stella McCartney reminds me of a crackling fire, a box of clementines and that Hermès box I hope to find under the tree (someday...) You'll be so dazzling in all of your daring brightness that the ball hanging high above Times Square on New Year's will look positively lacklustre.  It's so overrated anyway, don't you think?!  Nerves at the ready, elbows steady...good luck out there my fearless beauties.  Only 7 more shopping days left until Christmas!

Never could get caught up in the whole Times Square ball-drop thing either. Doesn't come close to New Year's Eve in Utica, New York.
