Roots Giveaway

Best cottage hostess gift EVER.  The Roots Hand-Embroidered Canada Pillow ($245)

My most recent Roots obsession - the Selina Italian Leather Box Bag ($239.99)  I wear it every day (did you know it's pink inside? sigh...)

I can always count on Roots for a hit of pure Canadiana, with its cozy sweaters, easy lounge wear, sumptuous leather handbags and nostalgic finds (Beaver Canoe, anyone?).  With the influx of American chains storming our retail scene, I love to see that Roots is constantly growing, evolving and, like a fine VQA, just keeps getting better with age.

It's the last day of RLR's Treat Week and to celebrate, we're giving away a $50 Gift Card to Roots.  To win, leave a comment below telling me your what you love most about Canada.  (Maple syrup? Hockey? Justin Bieber?) Contest ends at 5 pm today.  Good luck to every Canuck! x

I love the 'country' of Canada, by that I mean, the pine and birch trees, the moss, the soft, gentle wind, the beautiful ocean, I just the outdoors. I live in the maritimes and wouldn't have it any other way!!!

I love that you can go from one end of Canada to the next and experience everything from mountains, to forests, to tropical weather, to blue blue bays, to camping, to city life to cultural foods and ocean views.

I love LOVE the scenery!! We have it all here! The dunes in PEI, the mountains in Quebec, Alberta, and Vancouver, the thousand islands that inspired the Group of Seven, Niagara Falls, the Glaciers, etc. I can go on and on.

What I love most about Canada is the diversity, acceptance and how we as Canadians pride ourselves on being polite and contributing to our great society.

I love Canadians passion for hockey....although, the genuine Canadian pride our country has is pretty hard to top. The Vancouver Olympics was a perfect example, every athlete, fan and spectator were just SO happy to call themselves....CANADIAN!

I love Roots! I love saying and hearing 'please' and 'thank-you'. And I love our national pride!

It's liveable-- the diversity, the humility and friendliness of Canadians, the 4 seasons, and the healthcare system! Couldn't ask for more! :-)

Canada has a strong heritage that is represented well by Canadian designers. You can count on Canadian retailers like Roots to look to the past and our country for fashion inspiration when designing and styling their lines!

Being the fashionista I am, I love the fashion, arts, music, and celebrities who come here and rome the streets like everyday people.
There is nothing like a shopping spree which includes a purchase with that beaver from Roots on it, or having a hot pink shopping bag carrying your new item from Holt Renfrew.
