Found: The Perfect Flat
I've always loved ballet flats for their timeless style and easy wearability. I was having the hardest time finding a decent pair of pretty ballet flats this summer as most of them were either too stiff, too delicate, or far too expensive. I mean, I love Tod's and Tory Burch as much as the next girl but paying over $250 for a little pair of shoes just doesn't sit well with my husband. So, I was thrilled beyond belief when I walked into Gap the other day to see a wall full of gorgeous, expensive-looking flats in a wicked array of colours. I picked up a pair of city flats in shimmery silver and road-tested them for a full day of walking around Toronto. The verdict? Super cute, supremely comfortable (no blisters!) and at $39.50, I'm debating getting them in a few more colours to get me through fall. Check them out at www.gap.com and get ready to retire your flip-flops.

One pair is enough.
I'm always looking for flats, being so tall and chasing after two boys.... Others flop off as i walk and blister the back of my heels in the process( no matter how many dr scholls inserts i've tried....) I'm off to the mall tomorrow....the dark plum colour looks cute. "Husband" couldn't be more wrong..one pair is NEVER enough..we can't look to men for fasion advice..my son is running around with a basket on his head as a hat...hopefully his fashion sense will improve...
One note, SL, make sure to try on the flats before buying. I found that I was a size higher than normal in this style. As for your son's fashion sense, baskets as hats are totally on trend for next year. He's just way ahead of the fashion curve ; )
I will be checking these out. As Sara L. said, most flats are very uncomfortable and cause terrible blisters. These look so soft!
