Last Friday, rlr mini and I woke up bright and (somewhat) early to head to the Toronto Eaton Centre. The motivation? The unveiling of The Body Shop's brand new (and much-buzzed-about) Pulse Boutique. We strolled through the newly-renovated store to test out new products (everything from radiant BB Cream to shimmery Beautifying Oil) and reminisce about our old favourites (Johanna was obsessed with White Musk in highschool while I was a strawberry and kiwi lip gloss addict. Remember those??). Like us, The Body Shop has grown up, with its sophisticated new space, impressive makeup wall, and luxe-looking packaging. And of course, The Body Shop, as always, is way more than just a pretty face; its Beauty with Heart initiative aims to meld ethical practices (think zero animal testing) and Community Fair Trade ingredients with beautiful products (check out the video below to see the program in action and don't forget to follow The Body Shop on Facebook & Twitter to stay perpetually in-the-know about all of their new products and amazing initiatives)

I had a dewberry vial in my locker for at least grades 9 through 11...
Last year, after a loooooong week of setting up grade 1 and 2 classrooms, I set out for the perfect gift for my colleagues who helped to bring my classroom to life...for each of the girls a perfect little duo of Body Shop scrub and body butter...we couldn't get our noses out of the vats goodness and they fought over who got the best "flavour"!!! First day of school...our classrooms looked great, but our skin looked even better!!!!
The Gentle Eye Makeup remover is tha' bomb. You'll never find a better product!
Bronzing Beads. They're just as good as they were when they first came out. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!! A cosmetic bag staple.

In highschool I loved the Vanilla Perfume Oil. Remember that little bar they had with all the different oils that you could smell and try. I too love the peppermint foot scrub...ohhhhhhhh my aching feet!! And who hasn't bought someone a gift basket from the Body Shop? It's a gift giving staple!
