She Was Born This Day

Happy 25th b-day, Gaga!

Today also marks the first official day of LG Fashion Week in Toronto.  I'll be there to cover a bunch of the major shows and am so excited to see what Canadian designers have dreamed up for Fall.  I'll be posting pics straight from Heritage Court with the most covetable looks - from the front-row fixtures to the skinny brigade (aka models) to my must-have runway picks - so check back often to experience it all.  Soooo wish you could all come with since it'll just be little ol' me and my big-ass camera.

Plus, I'm launching my new blog at White Oaks Mall April 6th (check the link for details), so will be wearing many hats (and shoes, and dresses, natch) this week.  I couldn't have done it all without you, my most loyal friends, and cannot possibly thank you enough for your unwavering support.

Well, I must be off to plan this week's wardrobe.  Finally, a chance to wear my new spring shoes!  Wheee...

Gimme Shelter

The new iPad2 launches in Canada today and I know that my husband's at work now, trying desperately to justify the buy.  I'm not saying a word, except that if he does happen to get one, I would highly suggest protecting said purchase with one of these beauties.  I don't know about you, but if I was an iPad, this is totally where I'd want to live.  The Roots I-sleeve is $48 and could moonlight as a cute clutch (envelope bags are 'it' this spring) and the zip-up Michael Kors Jet-Set iPad Case retails for $134.95 Cdn.

Happy Friday, my lovelies.  I just found out some super exciting news today but you'll have to wait until next week to hear all about it.  Next week, BTW, is LG Fashion Week and I'm hitting up all the big shows to see what's cool for Fall.  Check back for pics and picks right here.

Over the Moon

Building an above-average wardrobe is a lot like building a good home - the paint, windows and decorative details can give a house great curb-appeal but the foundation is really the most important part.  These delicious featherweight knits from Moon Apparel should be an essential part of every woman's wardrobe foundation.  The sheer tanks, tees and cardis are made of the softest mercerized cotton and are so light and airy that you'll feel like you're wearing nothing at all.  Plus, they look and feel super expensive but are remarkably kind to your credit card.  When it comes to Moon, all I can say is - swoon!

Moon Apparel's tanks ($30), t-shirts ($35) and cardigans ($45) in aqua, peach and putty are available at the Bay stores across Canada next month.
