Mini Sneak Peek: DVF for Gap

Gap just sent me these pics over the weekend and I'm totally smitten!  The bright little separates, perfect for the pint-sized and playful might be wee, but are big on classic DVF style; with clever prints, amazing colour and, of course, the little wrap dress. I can't wait to get a few of these pieces for my daughter and if I'm very, very lucky, I'm hoping to squeeze myself into a size 14.  The DVF for Gap collection hits select babyGap and GapKids stores across Canada on March 15th.  Check back here for all the deets about a fun DVF fashion segment hosted by yours truly, coming soon to a TV screen near you!  Yay!

Topshop Spring 2012

I'll admit it:  I like my Topshop in small doses.  I love the occasional dress, shoe or funky little handbag but when thrown all together, it's all just a little much.  The Spring 2012 Topshop collection pics have surfaced, and as always, the styles are super fun, and wildly over-the-top, which I guess is what the brand is all about.  I've found some beyond pretty pieces that I would love to add to my wardrobe this spring, but most of all, I'm DYING over that metallic dress.  

Oh, and I still occasionally question whether I should break down and buy this tank from last fall.  You think I kid.

Dree Hemingway at The Bay

Dree Hemingway has some pretty enormous shoes to fill;  As the daughter of Mariel and the great-granddaughter of (you guessed it) Ernest, Dree has recently come into her own as an actress and model, walking for Givenchy, Calvin Klein and even Chanel.  Her personal style is perpetually chronicled by street-style photographers who adore her cool, laid-back vibe, and now we can all get a piece of the legacy with the Dree Hemingway for Sandro capsule collection.  The Bay will be the ONLY Canadian retailer in Canada to house the 10-piece collection, filled with flowy dresses, printed tees and Ikat embroideries, inspired by the wilds of Idaho where Dree was raised.  I'm already obsessing over the white oversized chemise, the black dress & tee, and the feather-print frock, though not a word has been issued about price.  This always makes me nervous...

I, like most of you, will always feel my heart go pitter-patter when presented with flowers, chocolate and champagne;  After all, they smell great, they look pretty and they're sweet little symbols that somebody really loves you.  Still, it's fun to get something a little unexpected on the big V-Day.  These gifts rank high in both romance & style, and whether you're a Hallmark-Holiday type of gal or not, who doesn't love lovely things?  

A big xo to you, my loves. I hope he takes your breath away, makes your heart skip a beat and makes you want to dance like nobody's watching (or something like that...)
